What type of surfaces can your coatings be applied to?
Almost any type of surface - pebbledash, roughcast, render, brick, stone, slate, tiles, driveways - the list is endless.
How long does the 5 stage procedure usually take?
On a normal size detached house about 5 working days, but the surveyor will be able to give a more accurate schedule after he measures your property.
Will the original surface of my home look any different?
No these coatings are designed to retain the Architectural look of the property. If it is roughcast or pebbledash it will still look the same.
What colours are available?
We have a standard range that most clients select from but we can have any BSI colour manufactured and a clear product when you do not wish a colour.
Are the coatings flexible and breathable?
Yes to both of these. The coatings are extremely flexible and elastic allowing the house to contract and expand with temperature changes and have a high permeability rate, so water vapour can escape and there is no moisture build up.
Will it crack, split or peel over time?
For over 40yrs these coatings have proven to hold up against the most extreme weather conditions. Ordinary masonry paints - which is a thin film of paint - do not adequately waterproof, causing them to fail prematurely.
Do you offer a guarantee ?
Yes every job comes with a written transferable 15 year warranty even though they have a life expectancy of 20-25 years.
Is there any specialist equipment that you require?
On some contracts we may require scaffolding or a cherry picker this is a non-profit making exercise and is used through necessity rather than choice and the client is advised accordingly.
Is there anything that I will be required to do prior to the job commencing?
We will ask you to move back any obstacles that are near to the property and take down any trellis that may be attached to the wall areas. The only other requirement is access to a water tap.
Can I afford these types of protective coatings?
Obviously our systems are more expensive than simply painting it, however over the period of time it is a more cost effective system, We carry out all repairs a painter won't - he will need the builder in first. So you are dealing with one company to deal with all problems and when installed you can rid yourself of the expense and trouble of painting every few years. Your home will be maintenance free and looking fresh year after year.
